Welcome to Pavo Real Writers Group of El Paso Texas

A free El Paso writers group offering honest critiques to help local authors polish their stories and reach publication. We meet on the 4th Saturday of each month (except December) at the first available desk in the Sergio Troncoso Public Library to critique our work and help local authors in their quest to learn the art of storytelling and maybe even publish their works. Generally I bring doughnuts, and we offer a free newsletter for our creative writers to showcase your labors for the month. We also sponsor an annual publication and a book fair.

How often do you meet?

We meet monthly at the first available desk in the Sergio Troncoso Library, 4th Saturday, 2PM to 4PM

Is there a fee?

No, our critique group is completely free to all members. Generally we also have free doughnuts, the good Albertson kind, not the lousy Dunkin Doughnuts.

All genres are welcome, from fiction to poetry and everything in between.

How do I submit my work for critique?

You can submit your writing by email before meetings or bring printed copies to share. If you don't have a printer, send me what you want printed, and I'll do it for you. You can also put it in our monthly newsletter. If you just want to show up and enjoy the show, that is fine also.
